The role

Our partner is a boutique trading firm. They trade using their in-house developed trading platform and are looking for an experienced engineer, ideally with a background in Trading or Finance, to apply their knowledge to the maintenance and development of the trading systems. This role works closely with many corners of the organization (amongst others Developers, System Administrators, Traders, Risk Managers) in developing, testing, deploying, monitoring, maintaining, and iterating over the trading applications in order to make sure the entire trading system runs smoothly.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role (at least 3 years, ideally in a financial markets setting)
• A proactive and driven attitude
• Robust problem solving and communication skills (especially under pressure)
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Experience automating processes using any of: Python, Bash, Lua, PowerShell
• Proficiency in SQL
• Strong experience with containerization technologies
• Solid understanding of monitoring tools
• Fundamental knowledge of networking
